“My husband and I decided to place our home for sale in March 2020. Knowing we had to divest our home of essentially everything, both inside and outside, I contacted Domini Estate Sales at the end of January to help with this daunting task. Pam was my first contact. She came to our home to discuss how the process worked. Pam and Renee are very professional and I immediately felt trust and a decrease in my concern over the upcoming move. We sold our house quickly and then COVID hit. Never experiencing such restrictions, Pam and Renee quickly came up with a plan on how to “have anestate sale without having anestate sale”. They reached out to potential buyers on various media platforms as well as by email and word of mouth. Typically the estate sale is handled over one or two weekends. Because of the restrictions COVID put on that type of forum, people communicated with Pam or Renee and they set up times for pickup of inventory at my home, one person at a time. This was extremely stressful for both Pam and Renee and my family as, at times, it became a feat of coordination. “We put our home on the market in April 2019 thinking it would take several months to sell. However, it sold in 3 days and the buyer needed to get in quickly for personal reasons. We needed to scramble to remove our belongings that we were moving (about half) and sell off the rest (the other half). We had already hired Pam, but now we needed her to accelerate the process significantly. She started organizing, researching, sorting, pricing and otherwise preparing for the sale immediately. Many items were sold ahead (pre-sale) of the actual sales dates, which worked beautifully. Pam and Rene did a lot of pricing research which resulted in ‘fair and reasonable’ valuations and the vast majority of items sold over the course of a total of 4 weeks (for prep, pre-sale and sale). Given the time crunch we were placed under by the buyer, there’s absolutely no way we could’ve done a fraction of what they did. The lesson we learned is it does take time; when planning a sale of this kind allow the team enough time to do their job. Domani did a great job and we would definitely recommend them.”
